Supa Crucial Recordings is the label of Los Angeles based, Brooklyn born, producer and composer, The Angel. Supa Crucial releases recordings by The Angel, including those under her pseudonym, 60 Channels, along with her dnb collaboration with More Rockers under the name Jaz Klash.
Supa Crucial has also released recordings by the Bay Area’s Mystic, London MC Navigator and Tre Hardson, of The Pharcyde. As well as these talented musicians, recordings on the label have featured performances by Angie Hart, Monday Michiru, Rain Phoenix, DJ Collage, Karen Grant, Divine Styler, Cokni O’Dire and most recently, Jhelisa. The label has also released numerous remixes from studio producers; E-Sassin, DJ Drez, Divine Styler, Vinyl Syndicate, Deep Rooted, Origin, Skyler Mic, UFO!, Ming+FS, Dread Flimstone, Headset, Spearhead, DJ Die, SUV, Flynn & Flora, More Rockers as well as many from The Angel herself. Coming up are remixes from 6BLOCC and Down Jones (aka Dstar).
Supa Crucial has release the scores composed by The Angel, including the UK classic, KiDULTHOOD and the basketball documentary The Heart of the Game. The Angel is also known for the scores to the New Line feature Boiler Room and the documentary Let’s Get Frank, about Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.).
